Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I've spent years playing guitar, singing, writing songs, and performing for audiences in different parts of the world. Blues has always been close to my heart, but I've never believed a good song has to fit neatly into one musical category.

Over the years, I've written country songs, rock songs, blues, ballads, and just about anything else that came into my head.

Then life threw me a curveball.

Losing the use of one hand changed my ability to play the guitar. But it didn't take away the music in my head, or my desire to keep writing.

And that's where things got interesting.

Today, technology gives me a way to hear my songs performed with the instruments, arrangements, and voices I imagine when I'm writing them.

I still write the songs. The lyrics, the stories, the musical direction, and the creative decisions are mine. AI provides the performances. My new band.

I write the songs. AI performs them.

To bring my songs to life, I've created four virtual bands, each with its own musical identity.

For blues and R&B, there's Eli Brooks Blues Band. For rock, there's Black Voltage. Country and Southern Rock belong to Green River Road, while Echo Divide handles everything else that doesn't fit neatly into those categories.

It's my way of keeping everything organized. Think of it as my personal music filing system. LOL.

JayT's Music is where I share the results. With more than 100 original compositions spanning different styles, there's plenty to explore, and I'm still writing.

Some songs might make you laugh. Others might bring back a memory, tell you a story, or simply make you want to turn up the volume.

That's what music has always been about for me.
